Here’s another tip to help you get more traffic to your Website business.

Suggest your business website to the Open Directory Project: http://www.dmoz.org

Instructions – How To:

Search for your business name, if it’s there your good (you’re done!)

If not, you now need to locate the best (category name) that you would place your business in. You may do this by searching using a common key phrase (eg. Musician, Motorcycle Repair, RV Park, Financial Services,…) You will likely find other businesses listed where you want to be listed. Once you locate the best category click the link near the top “suggest URL” and enter your Website URI, business name, and description, (you’re done!) You’ve built another path to your doorstep (website), enjoy.

If you want more detail instruction read here.

Building links to your website helps your website rankings and listing higher in search engine results.
Best of all this is free!

PS. Another idea, If you are a musician why not put yourself on http://www.last.fm, (I’m actually listening now).

Have a great Labor Day!
